Margery started formal fine art mosaics in 2010 but has always worked in mosaic art in other forms – graphic design, stained glass, studio art, photo collages, gallery management–always putting elements together to tell a story or relay a message to an audience. Mosaic art just fell into place using the different scrap glass and found art objects used in other media.
For me, mosaic art in particular also helps to focus my brain after suffering a traumatic head injury in an automobile accident at age four. The process of designing and producing a mosaic is a meditative journey which keeps my cognitive processes functioning clearly.
Margery is a member of the Austin Mosaic Guild. She works in various art media to visually tell stories of the strength, hope, and faith of individuals and families locally and globally.

Margery's idea of simple and elegant graphic design has shown in her design work since the 1970s. She started working in printmaking and graphics in grade school art classes in the 60s, continued in the University of Houston College of Architecture and University of Washington Department of Art Graphic Design Program. She continued her studies of Studio Art, Gallery Management, Printmaking, and Digital Media at the University of Nevada, Reno.
